What we collect
Depending on features used, this can include your email and account information, uploaded plant images, plant names and profiles, AI conversation messages, care records, and technical/security information.
How we use it
We use information to provide identification and AI chat, maintain accounts, save plants and care history, provide support, protect the service, improve reliability, process payments where applicable, and comply with law.
Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we may rely on contract, legitimate interests, consent where required, or legal obligation.
Service providers
PlantTalk may use hosting, database, authentication, artificial-intelligence, payment, security, analytics and email providers. The production provider list will be kept aligned with the services actually used.
International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Appropriate safeguards will be used where required by applicable data-protection law.
Retention and deletion
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request account or personal-data deletion, subject to lawful retention requirements.
Your rights
Depending on circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
Cookies
Essential technologies may be needed to operate the service. Where non-essential cookies or similar technologies require consent, PlantTalk will request it.
Children
PlantTalk is not intended to collect sensitive information from children. Additional safeguards will be applied where legally required.
